The Main Menu form is the most common way to access the features of TroopManager Plus. However, it's important to note two things:
1) This is not the only way to access features, see also the menu bar and toolbar at the top of the screen.
2) Not all features are found on this menu form. Some are only found in the menu bar at the top of the screen.

Upcoming Date Warnings
The dates in the lower portion of the main menu screen warn you about the next scheduled meeting and event/trip date. You can control these messages through the Configuration screen.
