The Scout Information form is one of the most complex forms in
TroopManager Plus. This isn't surprising considering that the focus of a scout troop is on
the scouts.

Additional Scout Information (command)
This form contains less-frequently used data that does not fit comfortably on the main
scout information form. You can navigate through scout records independent of the main
form, as an aid in searching for information. You must close this form before
returning to the main scout form.

Race Information
This area will be blank if you disable race information in the Troop Information form.
This area will be blank if you disable disability information in the Troop Information form. If you decide to collect disability
information you are still able to control whether or not it gets included in reports.
User-Defined Fields
The fields shown in the example above (Holiday Party and Pet)
are defined for the troop via the Troop Information form. You
are free to use these fields for any purpose, and can change the labels over time as your
needs change.

Assign Parents (command)
This is used to quickly and efficiently associate a scout with one or more adults. It
is most effective when used during your initial data entry work. Note that you are able to
create new adult records on-the-fly using the Quick Steps section. Also note that
there's a Details button that displayes the Adult
Information form for the selected adult.

Copy Address & Phone (command)
This is another feature that is best used during your initial data entry efforts. The
goal is for you to enter address and phone information ONCE per household, and then copy
it to adults and sibilings.
For example, suppose that two sisters from the same family belong to the same troop,
and you want to record both parents as well. Here's how to get the most mileage out of
your data entry efforts.
- Enter both scout names. Fill out the address information for only ONE of them.
- Use the Assign Parents form to create two adult records and associate them with
the first scout.
- Use the Assign Parents form again to associate the two adult records to the
other scout.
- Display the first scout's information (the one with the address and phone) and use the Copy
Address & Phone form...
- ...start with Show-Scouts, select the sister scout, and click Copy
this record.
- ...switch to Show-Adults, select the first adult, and click Copy
this record.
- ...repeat for the second adult.

Add New (command)
When clicked, a new scout record is added to the list. However, the addition is not
permanent. If you don't enter any data nothing will be saved. You must enter the scout's First
and Last Name at minimum.
When clicked, you are asked to confirm that you really want to delete the scout. NOTE!
You will delete all information associated with the scout, including scout history,
event and meeting attendance, badge and activity completion and so on. Consider marking
the scout Inactive instead of deleting, unless and until you are positive
that you never, ever need any of the data ever again.

Show Inactive Scouts / Scout is Active (checkboxes)
Scouts can be marked as Active or Inactive.
Active scouts show up in all lists and reports. Inactive scouts are hidden at all
times, unless you check Show Inactive Scouts, in which case
inactive scouts show up in the Scout Information form, only.

Patrols (list and command)
If your troop uses patrols, you can define patrols and assign scouts to them.
