We absolutely LOVE IT when our customers ask for new features or changes to our products. Almost every feature added in our free updates came from a request from a customer. This page documents the pending requests that are not yet incorporated into the product, but might be some day. Feedback is always welcome.

We get asked about this all the time! You're absolutely correct, the fill-in-the-blanks lower portion of the permission slips should be replaced with a merge-print feature where data from the scout and event/trip record is automatically filled in. We're working on this and you can expect to see such a feature in a future version of TroopManager Plus.

| Moving Scouts Between Troops and Databases Merging and Dividing Troops |
TM+ needs a general purpose import and export capability. You should be able to move a scout (and all associated history and other records) from one troop to another, and in between TROOP.MDB databases. This is far more complicated than you might appreciate, but nonetheless we can see the value of having this feature. So... we're in the early stages of creating a Troop Exporter utility that can create a subset of the data that you select -- some or all scouts, include/exclude history, meetings, events and so on. A similar Troop Importer will perform the opposite action.

| Sharing Troop Data with Co-Leaders, Parents et al |
Related to the previous suggestion, users report that they want to be able to provide co-leaders, parent helpers and others with the troop database so they can quickly locate information. We're working on a Troop Viewer utility that works with the output of the Troop Exporter. The idea is that you encourage co-leaders, parents and others to download the free Troop Viewer utility, and then you e-mail them the output from the Troop Exporter utility and they use the viewer to examine, search and print the data.

Oooh, this is a tough one. Accounting systems are a serious undertaking and including anything fancy in TM+ would drive the price way, way up. Our philosophy has always been: if you need accounting, buy an inexpensive accounting package. TM+ concentrates on scout troops, and is priced such that ordinarily troop leaders can afford it. Nonetheless we get asked about this all the time. So, we will look very seriously into making it easier to track which scouts are selling what products for which trips and so on. As we hope you can imagine, it gets complicated very fast!
Feedback, please: Would you pay an additional fee for a more sophisticated accounting module that could be added on to TM+? How about a separate product for youth organizations in general (a larger market) that could integrate with scout data in TM+?

| Mixed-Level Troops |
We need better support for mixed-level troops, especially in badge management and meeting/event outcomes. This is tough to handle, but we're working on making incremental improvements whenever possible.

Other Suggestions
All of the following are under serious consideration for future versions of TroopManager Plus. We can't guarantee when or even if all will be implemented, but we can see the value of each of these suggestions and will do our best.
| Allow changes and additions to the lists of adult leadership roles, and keep track of adult leadership history. |

| Dues carry-forward, for scouts who pay in advance or in arrears. |

| Read-only mode (similar to BadgeManager Plus) so scouts can safely view their history and other information. |
