Purge Old Records

TroopManager Plus
User Documentation

The Purge Old Records screen is used to delete data that you no longer need to maintain.  You are not required to delete old information, however, TroopManager Plus may start to slow down when it has several years worth of data to wade through while searching for information.

Important!
Make a BACKUP copy of your data
before you purge any data. Safety first!

You have the option of deleting three different categories of data.  At no point is scout or adult history data involved in the operation, so you will not loose important historical data.

Start by entering the data through which you wish to delete records.  Click the Check button to display a count of the number of records you have selected for deletion.  Double-check that the number is expected.  For example, if you intend on deleting old meeting attendance records from last year, and you hold meetings approximately once per month, you should NOT continue with the purge process if the check message says 37 meetings will be deleted.

When you are absolutely certain that you want to purge the data, click the Purge button.
