Maintenance and
Integrity Check

TroopManager Plus
User Documentation

The main menu screen has a pair of command buttons used for performing routine maintenance and integrity testing of your data. See Troop Database for technical details on the way your troop data is stored.  Briefly, 100% of all the data you enter in both TroopManager Plus and BadgeManager Plus is stored in a file named TROOP.MDB.  You should take care to make backup copies of this file on a regular basis.  See Backing Up for details.

Click the Maintenance button to have TroopManager Plus perform routine maintenance on your database.  Under normal circumstances no error messages should be displayed.  If any error message is displayed, contact Forevergreen Technical Support and we'll help you figure out what is wrong and how to fix it.

Note:  TroopManager Plus will automatically perform maintenance on a periodic basis.  Under normal operations you do not need to click the Maintenance button.  However, it never hurts anything.

Click the Integrity Check button when you believe TroopManager Plus or BadgeManager Plus is not behaving correctly.  You may also be instructed to run this process by Forevergreen Technical Support.  As with the maintenance process, under most circumstances no errors should be reported.   If an error message is displayed, contact Forevergreen Technical Support for assistance.
