Longer answer: SUManager Plus is provided when you
participate in group purchases of TroopManager
Plus*. The more troops that utilize TroopManager Plus the better the
discount. TroopManager integrates with SUManager so you can import and
export troops, scouts and adults.
Important point: The troop leaders
participating in this offer do not have to be part of the same service
unit. Any group of leaders from any source can qualify. See the
"fine print", below.
The price of a single copy of the
TroopManager/BadgeManager combo is US $45.
The table below is the same offer we've been making
for several years, prior to the
introduction of SUManager Plus. In fact, we've added the 5-troop level
which makes

major revision will combine these two products into a single product. You will receive a
free upgrades to the new troop product when it becomes available. All data
will be automatically updated.
Service Unit Team Members
We understand that your service unit relies on multiple
people in different roles. When you purchase SUManager Plus you are buying it
for your service unit and not for a particular individual. All of
your team members may install and use SUManager Plus as needed in support of
your unit. The only restriction is that all those using SUManager Plus be
associated with the same service unit. No fair giving away copies to
colleagues in other service units!
What's the Catch?
Here's the "fine print" for this deal:
- Your service unit or group writes one check for the total cost. This is
a big savings for us since we don't have to process many individual orders. You can
also use the PayPal
payment service if you'd rather pay via credit card.
- Your service unit or group designates one or more individuals to serve as the first
point of contact for technical support
for TroopManager/BadgeManager. These individuals attempt
to handle support questions, and forward questions they can't answer to us. This is
another big savings for us since the majority of the technical support questions we get
are very simple and can be answered by anyone familiar with the products.

Frequently-Asked Questions
- What happens if you're too cautious and commit to a low number but end
up needing more?
What we do is re-calculate your total based on the amount you would have paid if you
estimated more accurately. No penalty, no lost opportunity! For example,
suppose your service unit or group went for 20 units at a total cost of $450 but ended up
needing 30. You only pay the additional difference between the 20 and 30 unit level
($90).
- What happens if you're too optimistic and commit to a high number and
don't need all of them?
Same as above: we re-calculate your total based on the amount you would have paid if
you estimated more accurately. For example, suppose your group went with 30 units
for a total cost of $540 but ended up needing only 20. We would refund
$90 to your
group, which is the difference between the 20 and 30 unit level. No penalty, no lost
opportunity.
- What about leaders who have already purchased the software
prior to this deal?
We'll refund the difference! Simple as that. Let us know the names of
existing customers and how you want to handle the refunds.
This offer is limited to a maximum of 50% of the purchase. For
example, of you go with the 20 troop level we will only refund up to 10
existing customers.
- How do your troop leaders acquire the products?
Troop leaders from your group should be instructed to download the products from our
web site (Download Page) and evaluate them like any other
customer. The 45 day trial period remains in effect.
- What about leaders that have a computer but no Internet access?
If desired, we will supply a single cd-rom containing the products. This cd-rom can be
used by anyone who wants to install the software.
- How are activation codes distributed?
We need to keep track of the names and e-mail addresses of our customers so we can
easily contact everyone for product updates. As troop leaders in the service unit or
group decide to participate in the program, all they need to do is send an e-mail to FSC@tds.net and mention the name of the service unit or
group leader's name. We'll send out the activation codes.
We're happy to provide lists of leader names who received activation codes, so the
service unit or group leader can double-check that everyone who wants to participate has
received codes.
- Is there a time limit for troop leaders to participate?
No time limit: we know that some leaders will jump on this immediately while others
will hold back and wait to hear about other's experiences. Your service unit or group can
take as long as necessary to enlist leaders to participate.
- What about updates and bug fixes?
Customers who are part of a service unit or group deal are treated no differently than
any other customer: all updates and other services are free.
