The troop current roles form (see Troop Details) is used to keep track of which people are playing which roles in the troop.  The People in troop list is drawn from the people associated with the troop and not the entire list of all people in the SUManager database.  The list can be filtered by type of person (scout, adult, other).

When you add a person to the role list, initially they are placed in a generic role called Associated with Troop. This is a place-holder role and you should immediately select a functional role from the list.  A person can play multiple roles at the same time.  The date start/end are both optional.  The notes should be about the person's role in this troop and not about the person in general or the role in general.

You can maintain the list of roles for troops, organizations and the service unit via the Roles form.

The Review Qualifications button displays a list of the required and optional training, certifications and skills that people in the role should possess, and also indicates where the person falls short if any are missing.

The Move to History button removes the person from the current role and adds it to the role history for this troop.

As is the case everywhere else the Go to Person button appears, when click the detail record for whichever name is selected in either list is displayed.
