Problem: SUManager accepts your
activation code but then exits immediately.
Probable cause: Your anti-virus or
other protection utility mistakenly identifies SUManager's activation
process as a threat and blocks the activation.
Solution: Temporarily suspend or stop
your anti-virus or other protection utilities, activate SUManager, and turn
them back on again.
SUManager Plus requires a fairly
complicated shortcut to start properly. The installation program
should have placed a shortcut on the desktop as well as in the Start Menu.
If you cannot find a shortcut, or if the shortcut does not work, there are
two ways to fix the problem.
Quick solution: Locate the
SUMgr.mde file in the directory folder where you installed SUManager.
Depending on how your computer is configured you might not see the .mde file
extension and the file will appear to be named, simply, SUMgr.
Double-click this file and SUManager will start. HOWEVER... you will
see one and possibly two or three warning messages about "blocking unsafe
expressions" and confirming that you really want to do this. You need to
accept all of the warnings for SUManager to start.
Permanent solution: You
need to create a new desktop shortcut and configure it properly. The command
line is long and complicated and depends on the exact configuration of your
computer. The following will work for typical computers. The
command must appear on a single line. Do not type this, use
the clipboard to copy-and-paste from this page,
where the command is on a single line.
"C:\Program
Files\Microsoft Access Runtime\Office11\LaunchAccess.exe"
/profile "SUManager Plus"
/wrkgrp "C:\Program Files\Forevergreen\SUMgr.mdw"
"C:\Program Files\Forevergreen\SUMgr.mde"
/runtime /excl
