Whenever you start TroopManager Plus or BadgeManager Plus they create a log file in the root directory of your C: drive volume. The log files are simple text files which contain information about what the products did as they were starting up. Often times the log files contain important clues that will help Forevergreen Software Company troubleshoot and solve problems. You might be asked to send a log file as an e-mail attachment. Look for the files in the root directory of your C: drive volume. The log files are placed here so you can always find them no matter where the products themselves might be installed.
It never hurts to send these files to us. The files are small and will easily attach to e-mail messages. There is no personal information stored in these files. You can easily open them and take a look yourself. IMPORTANT NOTE: If you receive error messages while starting TroopManager Plus or BadgeManager Plus, the log files are particularly important. Don't try to run the product again -- this will cause the log file to be over-written and possibly loose useful information. Send a copy of the file(s) to Forevergreen and then try running the application again. |
