TroopManager Plus has several badge-related features that you should know about. These features were left in TroopManager Plus because they simply work better in there.

Record Outcomes

Often times, your meetings, events and trips have something to do with badge activities. The Meeting Planner and Event Trip Planner forms have the ability to mark badges and activities as completed for all scouts who attended.

This is accomplished in the Attendance portion of the planner forms. Look for a button labeled Outcome.  The Event/Trip Planner version is illustrated below. The version in the Meeting Planner looks almost exactly the same.

To use this feature:

  1. Select the meeting, trip or event in the planner.
     
  2. Display the Attendance tab.
     
  3. Mark scouts who attended the meeting, trip or event.
     
  4. Click the Outcomes button.
     
  5. Select a badge and associated activity to record.
     
  6. Click the Record Activity button.
     
  7. Optional: If all attending scouts have now completed the badge, check the checkbox labeled Mark badge/patch as being completed? and click the button. You must do this on the last activity, since an activity must be selected. There is no harm in marking an activity multiple times, so don't worry if you forget.
